FAQ
Mirokami is not a game of right answers. It reflects habits, context, and consistency. Some reactions may seem unpredictable, and that's part of the experience. There is no perfect way to play — there is presence, care, and exploration over time.
What is Mirokami?
Mirokami is an app that creates a digital character that evolves from the photos you take in your daily life. The images serve as inputs to develop, influence, and transform the character based on your real lifestyle.
What does the name Mirokami mean?
The name combines the idea of "mirror" with the term "kami", which represents a spirit or entity in Japanese culture. The concept is that the character is a reflection of your experiences.
Do I need to post my photos on social media?
No. Photos are only used within the app and are not published automatically.
How does the Mirokami character work?
The character has attributes such as energy, hunger, mental health, physical fitness, knowledge, and experiences (XP). Each photo sent is analyzed by artificial intelligence and can impact one or more of these attributes.
What do I need to do to make the character grow?
Simply capture real moments from your routine through photos, such as meals, exercises, leisure, reading, or outdoor moments.
What types of photos are most recommended?
Clear, well-lit photos that represent real situations from your daily life, such as visible food, glasses of water, exercises, outdoor environments, books, or social gatherings.
How can I evolve a specific attribute?
Use your intuition and take photos of scenarios or moments related to what you want to evolve. For example, to evolve fitness, taking a photo at the gym might be a good idea. Composing multiple elements in a single photo can be even better.
Why do some photos take points away?
Image interpretation takes into account context and patterns. Depending on what appears in the photo, an attribute may decrease instead of increase.
Does water always help?
In most cases, yes, but the water needs to be visible in the image. Closed or unclear bottles may not be recognized.
Attributes don't work as fixed rules. Context, variety, and consistency matter more than getting the "perfect" photo.
Why is the result of a photo sometimes not what I expected?
Mirokami doesn't work with entirely fixed rules. Similar photos can generate different results.
Why does Mirokami react in a "strange" way?
It was designed not to be entirely deterministic. The idea is to react more like a living being than a rigid system.
Is this a bug in the app?
Not always. This unpredictability is part of the concept and the way AI interprets images and contexts.
Mirokami doesn't reward predictability, but rather exploration and observation.
Can the Mirokami die?
Yes. If left unfed for too long, the character can die.
What happens when the Mirokami dies?
Death represents the end of a cycle. Some attributes are reset to initial values. Lived experiences, skins, and earned items are preserved.
Will I lose everything if it dies?
No. The character returns to the initial values of some attributes. Others are fully maintained, such as experiences, skins, and earned items.
Are there warnings before the character dies?
The app shows visual and behavioral signs when attributes are low, such as extreme hunger.
Is the game intentionally difficult?
Mirokami was designed to encourage care and consistency, not perfection. Adjustments continue to be made based on user feedback.
Caring consistently matters more than playing "without mistakes". Death is part of the cycle, not a failure.
Why is the Mirokami sad or crying?
The character's expressions and animations are based on weighted probabilities by its attributes. This means that, even with good stats, the character may occasionally show unexpected reactions — just like a real living being.
If my stats are good, why does it seem sad?
The character's emotional system uses intentional randomness. High attributes increase the chance of positive reactions, but don't completely eliminate negative ones. This is part of the character's organic behavior.
Will this change?
The emotional behavior continues to be adjusted in new versions.
The character's emotions are not an exact mirror of stats, but reflect tendencies based on them.
How do I unlock new experiences?
Experiences are unlocked based on visual patterns, repetition, variety, and photo context. Some experiences are secret and only appear when certain conditions are met.
Does it need to be a specific photo?
Some experiences require clear elements in the image. Generic photos may not work. In some cases, a QR code is needed.
Do experiences depend on location or geolocation?
No. Location is not used. Some depend only on what appears in the photo.
Do all experiences appear at once?
No. Many are hidden and only appear when certain conditions are met. Additionally, some experiences unlock others — there is a progression chain between them.
Experimenting more is more important than trying to "figure out the rule".
What are packs?
Packs are themed collections of experiences that group related challenges. As you progress, new packs become available to explore.
Do I need to unlock packs?
Some packs are available from the start, while others need to be unlocked based on the character's progression.
Can I switch between packs?
Yes. You can choose which pack is active and focus on that theme's experiences.
What is the weekly checkup?
The checkup is a weekly report that analyzes your activity over the past 7 days. It includes: summary of attributes evolved during the week, comparison with the community average, photos and experiences from the week, and honest analysis and diva analysis — two AI-generated perspectives on your performance.
Can I see checkups from previous weeks?
Yes. You can navigate between weeks to review past checkups.
Can I share my checkup?
Yes. The checkup can be exported as an image or shared directly.
What is the daily recap?
After 9:00 PM, Mirokami displays a speech bubble with an AI-generated reflection on your day's interactions. It's a personalized summary based on what you experienced.
Does the recap appear every day?
It appears when there is a minimum number of interactions in the day. If there wasn't enough activity, the recap is not generated.
What is the Runway?
The Runway is a daily fashion competition where 6 AI critics evaluate your Mirokami's look. Each critic specializes in a type of accessory and gives a score from 0 to 10.
How are the scores calculated?
Critics evaluate based on weekly trends that change every week. A skin that scored high this week may score differently next week.
How many times can I participate?
Once per day. Trends change weekly.
What are titles?
Titles are AI-generated names for your Mirokami, based on your interaction patterns. If you take many food photos, for example, you might receive a gastronomy-related title.
How do I unlock titles?
Titles are unlocked starting from 50 interactions, with new titles generated every 50 additional interactions.
Can I choose which title to display?
Yes. You can select any unlocked title or choose not to display any.
Can I customize my character?
Yes. As you unlock experiences, new skins, accessories, and appearances become available.
How do achievements work?
They are unlocked based on the variety of experiences, consistency of use, and behavior patterns. Some only appear after being unlocked.
Is there interaction with other users?
Yes. You can create groups to follow other characters and have character meetups.
What happens during character meetups?
Characters can exchange experiences and learn new specialties, influencing their evolution. Meetups are done via QR code.
Can I earn rewards for sharing?
Yes. By sharing Mirokami photos on Instagram Stories, you receive an energy reward. This reward can be redeemed once per day.
What devices does Mirokami work on?
Currently, the app is available for both iPhone and Android, but may require specific system versions.
How do ads work in the app?
At certain moments, you can watch ads to get temporary benefits, such as energy recovery.
Why aren't the ads appearing?
During review or publishing periods on the App Store, ads may be temporarily unavailable.
Does the app collect my photos or personal data?
Photos are processed for internal analysis and character evolution. Technical data may be collected as described in the privacy policy.
Are my photos used outside the app?
No. Images are not published or automatically shared outside of Mirokami.
What should I do if the app doesn't recognize a photo or shows an error?
Check your internet connection, photo lighting, and whether the app is updated. If the problem persists, contact support.
How do I contact support?
Official channels are available on the app page or in the help menu.
Does Mirokami have costs or subscriptions?
The app may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. All pricing information is displayed before purchase.
How can I delete my account and data?
Deletion can be done through the app settings, where you will receive a verification code by email to confirm the deletion. You can also request it from support, as described in the privacy policy.
